I am want to remove the ac unit from my car for two reason, one its is dead as a doornail and two to reduce weight.

I read the procedure to remove the condenser. and it states for me to remove the front grill. I can't beleive I would have to that. If I remove the radiator can I slip it out that way?

Seems like you are hellbent on removing it instead of just getting it fixed...is this a car that's driven much?

You asked a specific question and I answered it. How much more specific do you want?

After you remove the radiator, all you have to do is disconnect the lines to the condensor, remove the two retaining brackets at the top and the condensor will come right out.

Whoa! The radiator does not need to be removed. Just the brackets so you can push it toward the engine and pull the condensor up.

Fix A/C and use it, unless you plan on going John Force fast. I regret deleting my A/C.

X2 too many times i see people remove their a/c and do things along those lines, then later they end up not liking the car and want luxury items such as a/c. one of the things people love the new 5.0 is because it has power, good brakes and tons of luxury. just fix it! its not worth the minimal weight savings. in the long run you will be happy you kept it. just my 2 cents though

If you want to talk about the body style I admit I knw very little about these mustangs. If you want to ask do I how to setup a car for SE the answer is yes. Your SA are not needed or liked.

Wanna know why i said to remove the radiator? He's having obvious issues with the car, meaning if the a/c was never maintained then other thing most likely werent either, like the cooling system, meaning its probably a good idea to change the coolant and radiator hoses, so might as well pull it out. Dont forget how he worded his question.

Nobody is telling him to remove the radiator.

Note the original question:

DavidEwers said:

The answer to that is "yes".

Personally, if I had just bought this car, I would be pulling the radiator and, at a minimum, blowing the crap out of the fins and checking it over closely for leaks, as well as changing the coolant. From there, removing the condensor is a two minute job.

The only think wrong with the car is the air conditioner nothing else. But I will go going through the complete car and rebuilding the front end making sure that the suspension will not bind as the front end rises.

I would be doing this even if this was a 2012 Mustang

have you ever built a race car from the ground up? Go look at the new challengers and mustangs running at Pomona today. Most of them were stripped down to the bare basics and were rebuilt.

If you know so much about this class tell me what cam you would run, who's rockers, who's transmission and what transmission.
