My 2002gt is running really rich. It smells really rich and gas mileage is terrible. My mods are fenderwell CAI, 75mm tb and upper intake plenum, o/r x pipe, catback, and diablo sport tunner. The wierd thing is I reset the computer and it seemed to run better for a while then went back to the way it was running (sluggish rich). I've monitored the TPS and ACT, cleaned the MAF, and checked for vacume leaks. Any other ideas? I'm thinking it could be the O2's, but it's not throwing any codes. I also don't want to spend a lot of money on the sensors if thats not the problem. Any help is greatly appreciated. I've been working on this for a while and starting to get kinda frustrated.

Have you checked your plugs? Maybe a bad coil pack?

I checked the plugs when I changed them a week ago. They seemed fine other than being old and brown from running rich. Wouldn't the car be missing if it had a bad coil pack?

When you reset the computer, it runs off of a pre-programmed table of values until it acquires enough data to make real-time adjustments.

If you've check the plugs and for vacumm leaks, +1 for bad O2 sensors.

You could crawl under the car and check the voltage of the rear O2's to see if it's fluctuating between 0v and 1v.
