Hi Jessica, :welcome: to :SNSign:

It's not an overly difficult process, fortunately. There's only a couple bolts that hold the pump to the bracket, the pulley, and the tube that attaches to the smog pump. Without looking at my own car (too cold out in the garage to feel like laying under the car :p), I seem to recall 3, maybe 4 bolts hold the pulley on, and a hose clamp that holds the air tube. I don't remember if the pulley needs to come off to remove the pump from the bracket, but I think it does. Basically, just take a deep breath, start unbolting, and it'll come off. Take pictures if possible, as it can aid in the process of reinstallation, when you can see how it's supposed to look.

Also, moved to 94-95 Tech.

isn't the pump down below the alternator and can you get to it without taking the alternator off ?

also, you'll have to take the belt off of course and it might make it easier to get in there if you took out the radiator fan

As said, the pulley comes off. I loosen the bolts that hold it on (something like 8 mm heads or their SAE equivalent). Then remove the belt. Then remove the 3 pulley bolts the rest of the way. Then remove the discharge hose from the rear of the pump. Then the two mounting bolts can be removed. They might be kinda tight.

It's been awhile but that's approximately how I swap them.
