help the rattle

im sorry but i dont even know what a striker assembly is. When i bought the car it had the system in it.I also would like to learn everything about systems so i guess ill do some research. But tell me what the striker assembly is

Dynamat or an alternative will help you get rid of the trunk panels vibrating. A couple layers on the underside of the trunk lid, along the trunk floor, and the side and rear panels should do the trick. First, find out first where the rattle is coming from, and work from there, you might need more layers on a certain area than another. Also make sure the spoiler, taillights, and licence plate are tight. Dynamat extreme is an excellent product, but can get expensive. Some alternatives I'd recommend are Brownbread, B-quiet, Raammat, FatMat, Secondskin, and eDead. Most are about $1 per sq. ft.

ok thanks so far, HA well i put acloth behind the liscense plate to stop that rattle. Ill make sure the tail lights are tight, but the rattle is coming from the trunk lid and actually the panel right behind the backseat, it rattles against the window. The other companies that make dynamat type of stuff are just as good?

For the most part, yes. A guy on caraudioforum.com tested a bunch and dynamat extreme had the highest heat tolerance among other performance factors, but I think he said that Brownbread is the closest among the alternatives. If you're just looking to get rid of rattles in the trunk, then any of the alternatives will do fine. I don't know how well FatMat or Raammat hold when they're upside down, but eDead v1, Secondskin, and Brownbread will hold perfectly.

Actually, Dynamat Extreme is probably about the best sound deadener on the market, that's why they have a patent on their recipe. Second Skin is a great product, and Ant is great to do business with, but he even admits himself that second skin is not as good as Dynamat Extreme and has actually recommended other products other than his. If I were to recommend any product, though, I'd recommend SS, just because great customer service, it's a great product, and a great value.
