well I'm definately spinning too much.. all through first gear actually. So I don't have any suspension mods besides the lowering springs which I'm sure don't help. I already have DR's so I'm good on that. I'm thinking uppers and lowers? I also need subframe connectors but I'm broke, so I can only buy one thing at a time right now lol, I hate my job. Anyways.. what would help me stop spinning the most right now?

I did the upper and lowers together and it made a nice improvement. The ass end just plants harder on launch. Some adjustable shocks would be a good idea as said above....you can then play with the settings to get your best launch.

I would say some LCAs, You really dont need UCAs.
Or just swap out your 4.10s for some stockers, that should keep you from spinning :D
haha.. my downlow power is pretty sad, if I did that I wouldn't be able to go anywhere lol

What kind of Drag radials do you have?

EDIT: Never mind I checked your Car Domain and see that you have Nittos.

That explains part of your problem right there. Nittos are junk! :notnice:
they've done pretty decently for me, but I'm trying to stick it out on them until fall when I can hopefully build the rearend and then buy slicks

I'm thinking lowers for now

I've got the Lakewood LCA with the action lift bars. With drag springs in the rear, DRs and 4.10s, I went from a roll at first at 2000rpm through 2nd and I had no spin. Before, in second gear, I was spinning the crap out of the tires.

If your low end power is sad, that makes it even more obvious that your tires are part of the problem.

Everyone I know who has $hittos swears that they'll NEVER buy them again.
Do yourself a favor and beef up the rear and get some M/T ET Street Radials :nice:

i dont have the nittos drs just the 555s and they dont hook for nothin the best tires i had were bfg kdw2s but for dr's im about to buy M/T ets like said above I hear great things there

I spin way too much to. But Im still on stock tires. I have my Sumatomo's right behind me (315's for the rear and 255's up front) but my damn rims havent come in yet. Until they come in, Im a sad panda.

Well you need to take those pizza cutturs off the rear for one thing :D . I would be scared to nail mine with 245s on the back lol.

Grab some 315 nittos, and some sub frame connectors. 1st will still spin on some surfaces, but for the most you should hook ALOT better.

And dont feel bad, my car wont hook up until the top of 2nd @ 60MPH with the 285 kumhos :nonono: .My dads 315 sumitimos stopped the crazyness in 2nd....1st still gone.

BTW are you talking about track or street?

talking about at the track.. and I was running 275/40 Nitto DR's

but I've decided to get rid of my DR's, buy 31 spline axles and differential, and run 26" tall slicks. :) I had planned to build the rearend all along, just deciding to do it now instead of later.

^ lol ok for the track.
Yea good idea, screw DRs....may want to consider DOT slicks so you can say your car was "street legal" when you raced it. You wont be able to tell the difference IMO...they are darn near the same thing.

SLICKS = FTW

Of course, et streets are kinda nice, but driving on them on the street SUCKS. Stupid rain. Just air them up to about 20-25psi and roll. Then air down to around 12psi or so and let the fun begin.
Also go ahead and get 15" rims and tires makes it hook alot better.

LCA's are a must. if you like cornering at all I would stay away from the uppers. they will bind your suspention articulation up. If you don't car about corners then you can run some uppers.

It is hard to do a combo suspention. Anything you do stricktly for traction hurts you cornering ability and thing you do strickly for handling can affect you wieght transfer. If you like a decent handling car my .02 is get some slicks for the track and set the rear up to handle it. that is the best combo suspention IMO. just run a very sticky tire at the drag strip and run a nice handling suspention on the street.

first gear is really low in these cars like 3.38 or something like that. if you have a stiffer rear supention you just have to learn not to hit the car too hard out of the hole. get your momentum then get all the way in it. pratice modulating the power out of the hole a bit. you lose less time that way than spinning the tires.
