Just wondering if there are any articles or links to help troubleshoot 65 instrument panel gauges. I searched and found info for fuel gauge issue

My problems
1. fuel gauge only goes to 1/4, searched and know how to check
2. oil gauge doesn't work, how can I check the gauge, ground like fuel sender to check?
3. Temp seems to work
4. ameter, not sure

what is the voltage supposed to be off the regulator on the instrument panel? I have a multimeter to check voltages, resistance etc.

I'm pretty sure the voltage off the regulator is 5vdc. Should be able to ground out both the oil and temp gauge. Your amp guage is probally burned up.

I only have diagrams for a 68 but they probally are the same for a 65, but the output of the constant voltage unit splits to feed the oil temp gauge and the fuel gauge. It splits off from the fuel gauge and feeds the temp gauge.

I think I've got it straightened out. The fuel and oil press wires were reversed on the gauges. A little MF mouse or something set up camp in the trunk and chewed through the wire. All except maybe the ammeter are working and go to full when grounded. Fuel gauge went to half, may still have a sender issue, have to see if I fill it up what happens. I found out the hard way over the w/e that the fuel gauge wasn't working :damnit: Even if it only works from 1/2 down, that'll do for now
