Installed C&L pipe and mass sensor calibrated for 24#'s and a set of FMS 24#'s.

Problem is now the car runs sluggish, idles low, falls on it's face at WOT, and dies on occassion.

Friend of mine chocked some of the problem to fan wash, being I have an exposed K&N cone filter with no shroud. I also tried to clock the MAF sensor and put my Cervini ram air set up for my Stormin' Norman hood back on with the filter sticking out a little from the box. This helped a little but hasn't cured the problem. Few guyz on the corral said I need a adj. fuel press reg. but I was wondering how will it cure my problem? Any of you guyz had this problem before? What did you do to cure it? Thanks for any help!!!

you said you installed the 24# sensor with the meter? I think you're suppose to use the stock sensor (19#s) and the C&L tubes do the calibrating. I don't know the effects if you install a 24# sensor and use the 24# calibration tube at the sametime. Mines C&L works just fine, but I dont get fan wash either.

What you mean the 24# sensor??? THe C&L is calibrated for 24# injectors when I ordered it. I put my stock electronics on and replaced the sampling tube that C&L provided with a known 24# sampling tube form a friend and still has the problem. Any ideas???

Did the fender mount CAI help you?

The C&L 24# sampling tube has a step in the tube. The inlet hole is smaller than where the sensor goes. If it has a straight thru hole then it is a 19# tube. The first C&L I bought new had 19# on the box as I wanted but the tube was for 24#, the car didn't run worth a darn.

Anyway if the tube is right, did you reset the PCM by disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes? If not that could be your problem.

Good Luck, Don

Yup made sure I re-set and it still made no difference. Sampling tube is also correct so go figure, I can't figure out WTF is wrong!!! Guess I better contact C&L directly to see what they got to say

Any chance you damaged the MAF filaments when you did the change over? Or maybe even clean the sensor. Maybe even double check to see how you installed the injectors. Maybe even the injectors are faulty.
