Picked up a 95 GT yesterday that's a carb swap 5.0. The only SNAFU I'm struggling with is a fuse issue that's keeps killing my turn siganls and brake lights!!!! Why couldn't the short just knock the stereo out.

Anyone else run into this problem. I'm trying to keep my wire chasing time to a minimum. Everything else seems to funtion properly . The only other thing I can find possibly related is that the ABS light seems to come on and off randomly. Any help is appreciated.

Does the fuse blow right after hitting the brakes or using the TS's? Or neither. If neither, post more about the circumstances in which the fuse blows.

For ABS assistance, see S&2B's page here.
I have an idea of what the ABS issue is, but let's wait to see your codes first.
Good luck.

Could very well be after hitting the brakes but it's not after using the turn signals. Virtually everything else electrical works.

I'd start short-hunting on the brake light circuit after the BOO switch.

Good luck.

I apologize in advance for my ignorance but what in the wide, wide, world of sports is a BOO switch!!! Thanks for the help.

Brake on/off switch. It's the brake switch on the back of the brake pedal. Your car's issue makes it appear that the short is between the switch and the brake lights (the wires run down the driver side rocker panel, as I recall).

If you want, toss a thread up on the 94-95 Tech sub-forum. I recall reading a thread or two in the past where folks had a similar issue and folks can help with wiring colors and what-not (I have some fox wire colors and pathways memorized, but not as much of the 94-95 wire colors).

Good luck.

Thanks for all the help and info. I found a thread already going on the 94-95 forum with the exact same problem. Going to get a new BOO switch today and hope that's it. Thanks again
