HELP!!WHAT HEADERS TO USE

mac and bbk are both pretty much the same imo, just which ever one u could get cheaper to me, if it was my choice i would go with mac just cause for some reason i dont trust bbk, u dont do that tho, its just some weird feeling ive had never had a bad eperience or anything just like the mac name better, probaly an x pipe is better, not sure really, shorties arent a bad choice long tubes are less resticting, r u getting equal? or unequal? overall u cant really make a bad choice on headers unless u get the cheapest kind then there not gonna be worth it but u get what im saying the pipe and muffler/cat back is where all the sound comes from so that would be a bigger decision then what headers to choose

yea anything bbk or mac is mostly going to be the same thats y ur going to get so many answers cause everyone uses each one and they all say they like theres and u end up still not noing which one to get haha, but one thing get ceramic like iron said, chrome will chip off in no time and it will leave ur engine looking not good at all, lik i said which everone u can get for the cheapest

not sure about long tubes, i heard something bad about them not sure how bad it was, but they should add more hp then shorties, thats pretty much the only companies and frpp(ford racing) but those arent too good, again just go with a mac or bbk, get some other opinions on the long tubes cause im not sure

i'd go with the flowtech exhaust all the way back, and buy some 1400* heat paint. I've got the long tubes, summit # BIG-12104, you need the matching X-pipe. Best bang for-the-buck exhaust i've seen.

not sure why most people go shorties there has to be a reason i just cant remember, long tubes are better tho not sure if there worth the pain in the behind tho

Longs are a real bastard to install. A buddy and I put in my Mac longs, and Mac H and it took us about 18 hours due to the clearance issues. Of course it didnt help to have people showing up to be nosey, choatic and drink beer/smoke their pot while we were trying to get it done. If I had to do it again it would have taken about 8 hours because of all the BS involved

I'd definately go with BBK over Mac. I don't care for Mac stuff. I've had both and the quality of BBK is much better. BBK headers also have a tough flange that doesn't warp. I used to run their 13/4" longtubes and they fit great.

I have detatchable long tubes, MAC catted H pipe with flowmasters and LX tips. I have no quality issues with MAC. They sound great and minus a small crack in the cross pipe of the h pipe they have lasted well so far.

For the price of BBK's you could get some FRPP 1 5/8" shorties. They also have a 1 peice flange and are 409 Stainless Steel! :nice: Also FRPP sends their headers out to have them "JET HOT" coated. They use Jet Hots "Sterling" finish and have a Lifetime Warranty! :nice:
