I just had my AR Shelby Torq Thrust M's installed. Drove it home, looked at it from behind and noticed the damn Wheels and Tires are Sticking outside the fenders.

I quickly look at the boxes and noticed they ordered the 24 MM offset!!!!!!

I ordered 18x9 and 18x10's. I did not specifically state which offset I wanted because I took for granted the "pro's" knew what the hell was the correct offset for my ride.

That being said, am I correct that they should have ordered:

18x9 34mm offset
18x10 45 mm offset

Are those the correct offsets????

The 24 mm's fit, but look bad in my opinion....

I think they are going to order me the new ones no charge. But they aren't sure what they can do with the 24mm offsets because they already installed them.

What a pain in the f'n ass!!!!!!!

Thanks man. I agree, they need to own this. I have my old wheels in the boxes and I need to ship them to a guy on this website. Now they are acting like they need the boxes back. This is royal pain in the ass.

That sux for sure! I know as soon as I got mine I checked them by placing the wheel only on the car. I know most all places state no returns once tires are mounted so if they say they will swap that is very generous. 21 mm is definitely a big difference! That is .8"! Mine with the 45 mm offset are exactly even with the fender. Keep us posted.

I for sure am still worried. I'm dealing with my local Discount Tire Store though. I didn't order them online. In fact I did not order them at all. I simply told them I had a 07 Mustang GT and I wanted 18 Inch Shelby Torq Thrust M's in 18x9 and 18x10. The discussion never came up regarding the offset. I didn't think it needed too. They can see what the correct offset is right on their stinking PC. They better take them back or else my local CBS affiliate "Trouble Shooter" will be calling!

They should have inquired as to what offsets you wanted if they are available in multiple offsets. I see you wanted the 34 mm in the front, how do the 24 mm look?

I used to Manage a Discount Tire Co. store. Man, all you have to do is bitch and if you do it RIGHT, they will just give you the crap for free, wheels, tires, and everything. I can't tell you how many times I had someone bitch because of wait time, and ended up giving them a set of 600 Michelins just to shut them up. DTC doesn't care about the money, seriously. They care about taking care of the customer. Only reason I quit there is cause I moved to a state where there is no DTC's.

They are being very cool about the situation and they are taking care of it for me. I admit, their customer service is excellent. I wish it wouldn't have happened, but at the end of the day, no harm no foul!

Same thing happened to me. I had my tires and wheels mounted took them home and put my wheels on and they stuck out like crazy and I was pissed. I drove it around for a lap to see if they would rub but they didnt. I called my local mechanic and found that they would not pass inspection so they had to go. I called the place and they told me that they cant take them back unless they are in mint condition and I submit detailed pictures to them. I had to go to a wheel collision center to have the wheels dismounted and I sent them back and fortunately they accepted them and sent me the correct offset which was 42mm not the 25mm they had sent. It turned out ok but I spent about $150 to get it right. I feel your pain.
