I am trying to wire up an electronic rearview mirror and also hardwire my radar detector in an '06 GT 'vert. I am sure one of the wires in the overhead console is switched 12V but I don't know which one it is. Can anybody help a brother out?

I'm looking in my 2005 electrical service manual which is probably the same. There are 8 wires in the connector at the oh console. The connector is # 9013. None of the wires are hot while the key switch is in run only. The hot wire is the white/light blue on the end of the connector. Voltage is supplied at all times. In the book, whenever there is a wire that is hot in run only, the book clearly states that in the connector view. There is a 2 wire connector at your brake pedal position switch. It has a wire that is light blue/red and a wire that is red only. The red only wire has voltage supplied in run and start and is overload protected. You could use that wire and just run it up the driver's side a-pillar then to your oh console. If you need a ground, it's the black only wire at the plug connector at the oh console.

You will need both hot in run only, and constant hot, and a ground. I had to run a hot full time wire up the right A pillar from the fusebox. I installed an autodim mirrir with homelink in my 06 Vert.

Power issue

I have a mirror from Donnelley, it doesn't need a constant power wire, only a switched 12V wire and ground. I'm surprised there isn't a switched 12V wire in the overhead console because the top switch only works with the key on.

It doesn't need a hot in run only because there is a hot at all times wire up there in case you have the security system. The vert top is operated from relays which tie into the pcm so they won't operate with the key off.
