My car would not go past 30mph. it would not shift to the next gear it only does it with the od on . When the od if off it does not have that problem.
The trans fluid doesn't smell burnt and the fluid level is correct. the car is a 2000 gt with 23,000 miles.

When you have the o/d locked out via the o/d button, will the vehicle upshift and downshift through gears 1-3 without problems ?

Do you have any shuddering or surging during shifts ?

Do you have any transmission modifcations, like a shift kit, aftermarket valve body, or a computer tune/chip that may have altered shift functions ?

Finally, have you recieved a flashing o/d light on the dash panel ?

With the o/d locked out i have no other problems.
I have no shuddering so i dont think its the tc.
.
the only surge is when it doesn't shift the rpm's jump.
i have a hypertech programmer but i already tried putting everything back to stock.
No i dont have any flashing o/d lights at all. i think it may be the 2-3 shift solenoidor the accumulator

If you don't have the o/d light flashing or a SES light, then that is a good sign, as that shows it not an electrical problem.

It could be tune related. What size gears are you running in the rear of the vehicle ? I take it you've got a gear change, as you stated you have the Hypertech Power programmer. Have you tried calling Hypertech, and consulting with one of thier technicians ?

I have 4:10 gears and i didnt have this problem until i lowered the shift points. The reason i lowered them was i kept hitting the rev limiter. I know i still have the overdrive gear. I just cant figure out why 2-3 is giving such a problem. i will try to call hypertech.

I'm willing to bet the hypertech tuner is your problem. I bought one for my car.. After it drained the battery by turning the fan on while it was writing the tune, my car acted weird as hell. It wouldnt shift right and it idled rough. I returned the POS for a diablo predator which works great.

It sounds like a program problem with the hypertech unit. Which generation Hypertech programmer is this ? It could just be the hand held unti you have has a faulty programing system. It has happened before. Give Hypertech a call, and report back with what they tell you.

i will call them today. i had the hypertech for more than a year with no problem. i adjusted the shift firmness and it did that fine but when i return the firmness to stock and adjusted the shift points for the gears thats when the problem started.

Well I called hypertech they told me the programmer can't be bad if everythings else on the programmer works. I dont want to even deal with them. I took the tune out of the car and returned everything back to stock and i still have the same problem. It does make the 2-3 shift but there is a hesitation. The rpm's still jump 1500 before the shift.

It sounds to me like the there may be a line pressure problem that is resulting in the delayed shift. If it was fine with the increased line pressure, then go ahead and return the line pressure to where it was for now. Then, look into getting the Jerry mod shift kit. It will clear up the need for increased line pressure, and will help reduce delayed shifts.

Well raing the pressure didn't work i thing either the trans pump is bad or the epc. I dont think it's any of the gears that are bad the fluid still smells clean and it doesn't have any material deposits in it. I was able to get a 3650 5 speed. is there a rebuild kit out there for 1-2 syncros ? it has the 1-2 grind.

I think you just have to buy a new syncro kit, but not sure. Where's Jackie Chan when you need him lol.

Seriously, check the front page of this forum. They used to have a 3650 issues thread. If it's no longer there on the front page, do a search for it, and see if you can't find it.
