ok i have a flat tire and no belt since i took off my supercharger brackets i dont have the right size. i need to know what size to get i bought the belt for the 5.0 minus the ac and its too small. i have underdrive pulleys the crank and water pump. im not useing my ac so i want to bypass that, the smog pump i still need. What size belt do i need to pick up i dont want to go back and forth many times. i searched the threads and i dont see one for this (too many) One more Question i noticed the water pump on my car was running in the opposite direction when i looked at the belt when i took my supercharger off. i didnt do the install so i didnt know about this. could this have damaged my waterpump? or does it matter which way the water pump pulley turnes? my car never got to hot though.

Spinning the water pump in the wrong direction won't hurt it. It just reduces your coolant flow by about 80%. As long as the smooth side of the belt was on the water pump pulley, you're ok. If you have an Autozone or someplace similar, they'll usually let you take the belt out to the car and try it on for size. A piece of string works good to get a rough measurement, too. I once measured one with 3 shoe laces tied together. It wasn't perfect, but it was good enough to drive it to Autozone. It was only 17 miles so they let us return it for the correct size. I'd take a measurement for you, but I don't know anybody that's still turning the smog pump. Sorry.
