ok my check engine light is on. and this are the codes that i got.
my question is what do i need to replace to fix this.
sorry if this is a noob question. im new to the mustangs also.

1. 12

Idle Speed Control motor or Air Bypass not controlling idle properly (generally idle too low) - ISC

2.21

Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor out of range - ECT
( this one i guess i can replace the sensor)

3.41
(R)
System lean - Fuel control ( maybe the o2 sensor on this one and the next are bad)

4.91
(R, M) System running lean - Fuel control

any info would be great
thanks everyone

Start with the temp sensor first. You would be surprised what codes pop up when the temp is out of range. I wouldn't be surprised if that clears up all the other codes

Before you replace the ECT sensor. If the code test was not done with coolant temps 170* or above, then that code will show. In other words, a cold engine, will show that code. So codes should be ran with engine at operating temp.

ok i took the car for a drive to get the temp up. came back and done a check. and the only codes i got this time was the 41 and 91.
i took the air filter off and im cleaning it. its and k&n filter. it was extremely dirty. so i got a cleaning and oiling system for it. i was thinking about cleaning the maf also. and then clearing the codes and seeing if they come back.

"lean" can mean many things.

How is it running?
Does it miss?
Is it burning on all cylinders?
Exhaust leaks?
Vacuum leaks?
O2 sensor condition?
MAF condition?

Any of these can make the engine "think" it is running lean.
Pull the plugs and see what condition they are in, note the color and if there is any buildup.

the car is running good no problems
its not missing at all
its burning on all cylinders(pulling plugs in the morning)
no leaks exhaust or vacuum that i have seen.
o2 sensor not sure of got to check them
maf s getting clean in the morning also.
