put on mac prochamber about a year ago, along with dallas mustang mil elims. no ses light for about 5 or 6 months. now its on and appears it isn't going off anytime soon. anybody have better luck getting ses light to stay off with other brands like steeeda's mil elim's or the ones they sell through part shopper? i wouldn't mind it being on, but car really does seem to run worse with light being on??? help.

I was having the same problem as you are. Based on the info you have given, it could be a number of things. Have the car diagnosed at Autozone, PepBoys etc. and let us know what codes you have thrown.

will try that & let u know. but is that any different than the codes it gives when u put it in test mode by holding the trip button w/ key on?; because in that test mode, it is says "none" under error codes.

Code reader will be the best bet. Then you will know for sure.

I think I'm having these same issues..I determined the code changed when swapping the elim's sides, but after finding out which one was bad it suddenly goes out for like 6-8 months. Finally it comes back on again, so I swap with the manufacturer (caspers electronics). New one is on, everything is great for ~1000 miles. Then it's back on AGAIN. I'm thinking about wrapping tape around the connectors, even though everything appears to be on tight. Seems like playing around with 'em somehow effects how quick it comes back on after a PCM reset.

Actually I had an idea. My front o2 sensors were bad since some water or something got into my O/R H pipe (before I owned it). I'm guessing the rear o2's still need to actually be operating normally, since the MILs adjust based on the o2 sims 'expected' readings? Not sure, just a thought...

di0de, does your car seem to run worse with light on? i swear mine does. or maybe its just finally gotten into my head & convinced me that it does.
either way, i am tired of it gleaming up @ me with its 20000000 hour bulb life.

The first thing I would do is find out why it is coming on. If your assumption is correct it will be cat efficiency. The best way to deal with it is to turn off the least significant bit in both OBDII_MIL_Switch and OBDII_TST_Switch scalars in the PCM. The rear O2 sensors will never bother you again...

You can get a chip and have the tests of the rear O2 sensors turned off; then you will not need to have MIL eliminators at all, and you will not get codes for cat efficiency.

i have had off road x and h-pipes on my car and i have had Dom custom tune my car and i have never ever had the light come on it was like 250 for the tune but it is alot better than a chip and it does not mess with that glue that is on the CPU so that they will never know it is flashed...

The car doesn't run any different for me.. although I think the light may play some mind games with me, all in all it does fine. Sam98 do you know a cheap way to program chips.. or possibly someone that can offer a custom chip with disabled cat checking? Tim offers a PCM reflash for fairly cheap (cheaper than buying 2 rear o2s @ $40 each) but I'd be without my car for a couple of days.. I still think I'll probably go that route though.

Not cheaper than what you have in mind...I would go that route too...
