Help with headers

[Turkey Sammich]

I'm having issues trying to decide what headers to go with. I'm going with shorty. (That will not change, so we're not doing a long tube vs. shorty debate).

My current exhaust set up is Magnaflow Cat Back, Mac O/R X, and Stock Headers. I'm looking for something that will complement my current combination and something that is moderately priced. Any suggestions?

I love my summit racing ceramic coated shorties. Can't beat the price - $220 on ebay. They look as good as the day I installed them.

The thing ive noticed with equal length shorties is the passenger side sits so close to the frame that it burns the paint off over time and then it begins to rust.i had to do some welding to fix it.my friends is doing the same so we put some heat sheilding there.thats something to be aware of.i would definetly go with ceramic coated.

If you have a magnaflow midpipe, go with the FMS shorties. I had fitment issues with my BBK non equal lenghts because they were a tad on the wide side between the collectors but I got them to work with enough muscle. With equal lengths, the gap was even wider and could never get them to seal right.

go with mac shorties...i have them with a mac o/r h. easy installation

Seems to be a toss up between the mac shorties or bbk shorties. However, leaning more towards mac, I've been hearing a lot of bad stuff about bbk with fitting issues.

if you dont care about the looks macs are ok,but they rust like a bastard.those are what i used when i had to fix my frame rail.i wouldnt get the equal length.if you do, have them ceramic coated and do some perventitive maintance to the frame rail.

i love my bbk EL shorties. they fit fine and i dont have any issue with plugs or warped flanges/blowing gaskets.

I've had MAC shorties on my car for years and they are still in great shape. No rusting at all. Plus, they lined up with the rest of my exhaust perfectly.
