Help With Hood Pins

Ordered some hood pins for my 68 stang and seems that most of the scuff plates are really thin, any suggestion? Like stainless steel washer?

some of the cheaper kits have thin scuff plates ,you have to get the better kit for thick plates .Branda has a good kit for the 65-66 and they will work on 67-68

theyre just scuff plates, they dont need to be thick.

agreed, they're just there to protect your painted hood

Thick hood pin scuff plates are worth looking into. Say "NO" to the cheap Chinese crap scuff plates.
