Need to get my rear pads and rotors done

I have a 1984 svo, It was modified quite a bit before I purchased it

The rear end is an 8.8 rear end with 3.73 gears and it has rear disc brakes
svo never came with an 8.8 it was 7.5 for all years

How do I go about ordering pads and rotors for this vehicle? do I just order rotors and pads for a 1984 svo?

The flange ends of the 7.5" rear and 8.8" are the same, so essentially the brakes and axles are interchangeable.

We are assuming that whomever did the rear end upgrade simply took the brakes off the SVO and just bolted them onto the 8.8 rear.

However, you may want to confirm this before adding parts, as the original owner could have also just bolted on an entire SN95 rear end as well.

Basically..you need to identify what you have on there now. Do you have a pic? Pretty easy to distinguish SN95 from SVO.

Take the old pads and a rotor with you when you go to Napa is another possibility.

I'd take a pad to the parts store. Its likely one of only a few possible fitments

your rear brakes? You want to know what parts to buy right? Well you need to identify what brake system is on there.

3 possible setups. SVO (most likely), Sn95 GT (possible), or SN95 Cobra (prob not)
