I have a fluidyne radiator and ramcharger dual electric fan i just installed. I am now installing an overflow tank i got from summit (p/n SUM-300101). I have the 1/4" hose that I need, but my question is; is it better to install it vertically or is horizontally okay. When driving you also leave the valve closed right? Thats only used to empty the overflow correct?
Thanks for your help.
Steve

Steve, the overflow bottle should allow bi-directional coolant flow. You need to get coolant back into the radiator too.

The drain is kept closed (if it has one - i.e. a catchcan).

Good luck.

Wait, so wouldnt that mean I mount it so the 1/4" hose connecting it to the radiator is at the lowest point, like the stock one. That would leave the drain part at the top with the switch.

Steve, I did not look up the catch can you got but am familiar with them.
You are correct - you hook the overflow hose up to the bottom of the catchcan. I dont see that you would even use a drain, so it does not matter where that ends up.

Good luck.
