I did all the prep work and painted my versailles rear end with por15, which came out with a smooth, glossy black shine, which looked great, but the por15 website stated that I should top coat it, so I ordered the por15 primer and a chassis black top coat. After priming and brushing the chassis black(just like I brushed on the por15) the results left me frustrated. The chassis black top coat apparently doesn't level like the por15 does. So now I'm left with with a top coat with a lot of uneven brush strokes in it.
With some thought, I decided to sand it down evenly, prime where necessary and spray on the chassis black instead of brushing it on? Does this sound like the right thing to do... ?
Or should I just coat another layer of por15 and call it a day..
BTW...Does anyone have a layout pic of the versailles axle seals and where they go, I know theres an inner and an outer, any pics or diagrams out there?
