Help With Removing Gt Trunk Emblem 2013

I am having my black trunk panel painted to match the body on Monday. I have removed the 2 retaining clips from the back but it's still stuck. Is it held on with 2 sided tape as well?

This is the how it will look when it's done.

Yes there is. Do a search for "faux gas cap" and one of the threads you'll find is mine, with pictures!

Got it back from paint yesterday. Now I just need to put the stripes on.

That looks really sharp. I got a quote to have stripes painted on and it was close to 1400 for the same thing.

Ouch. I know someone in south Florida that got them painted for $600.
