Help with some '05 problems, and pics of my Roush

1) Does anyone have any problems with their windows fogging up? If it rains I need to keep the defroster on for a few days afterwards. I'm sure it has a leak I just don't know where it is.

2) About once a week I get a sound from the transmission. It sounds like wind rushing past a slightly opened window but it's coming from the floor and it goes away when I shift (its a 5 spd).

3) When I go over 120mph the hood starts moving around and seems like it about to fly off. I know other people have written about this. Is there anything that can be done to fix this problem? Has is actually came open on anyone?

is that a real fuctional scoop or a cosmetic one? either way i suspect the scoop at high speed is scooping causing the mentioned problem. No solution to that other than tie it down or dont go that fast... even tied down at 120 itll wanna fly off...

1. i dont know

2. check the shifter seal under the shift boot. make sure it is properly installed.

3. some have adjusted the stops up. this makes the hood sit higher against the latch. then it has less possible movement.

On the shifter wind noise Bigcat is right, there is a black rubber boot under then leather one that seals against the tranny tunnel. MAke sure that it's pushed in good.

As for the hood problem, it's common if you are really concerned with it then add some hood pins. I don't like adjusting the bump stops out because that puts added stress on the hood and latch mechanism.

Of course the window fogs up on any car in the car with the windows rolled up. It does it on mine too. Simple solution is too turn on the heater or A/C. Yes, I said A/C because it gets very humid here especially when it rains. Never had a problem with my hood moving around, but lets not forget how light these hoods are compared to the older mustangs. My trunk lid is heavier then the hood!!

I know that my car had a leak in the weld seams along the bulkead that caused alot of water to leak into my car. I have seen it on other 05+ mustangs that I have worked on. If you have that leak then the excess moisture is going to evaporate and then condense on your windows. To check for the leak pull the kickpanel out on either side and pull back your carpet and feel the padding, if its soaked then you need to goto the dealership to have them seal up the holes.
