Allright here's the deal. I had my upper intake off to change the valve cover gaskets and do some maintanence. I did a full tune up including the fuel filter. My torque wrench must be broke cause while I was torquing my upper manifold I tightened it a little too much and the front manifold bolt snapped in two. Would this cause a vacuum leak??? The car idles fine but misses once you get on the gas and while accelerating. I double checked the plug and plug wires and they are ok. I even did a cylinder balance test with my scan tool and it came out allright. I'm kinda stuck and pissed since I'm on leave with the military and will be leaving in a few days and my car will be staying here, I'm just trying to enjoy it while I'm here, but can't until I fix this! If anybody can help out I would appreciate it! :flag:

you can spray motor oil from a squirt can around the plenum (i dont like using flammable products) and see if the idle changes while doing so. that would answer your question. otherwise you have unmetered air entering the system which is not cool. my two cents worth. good luck.

I sprayed some around the plenum and my idle didn't change. I took my upper back off to see if my vacuum hoses were still on good and tight and they were. I'm stumped, never brought this car to any shop before but I'm a little pissed so I might give in and do that today.
