Well, the T5 in my cobra has no second gear what-so-ever and first is starting to pop itself out sometimes, much like second did before it went completely. 3,4,5,R work perfectly though. Would you guys suggest:

A:rebuild the T5 (no experience with trannys but i think i can do it)
B:New T5 SuperDuty with 2.95 1st ect.. from somewhere like Summit
C:G-force
D:Tremec

now i know that the tremec is what everyone will probably say is the best, but you know the story, "limited budget". What all do i need if i saved for the tremec? new bellhousing i know, how about the clutch, i just put a kingcobra clutch in not too long ago along with a tri-ax and clutch quadrant ect.also have the speedcal and 3.73's, stock drive-shaft. What all can i keep from those parts if i got a tremec? Thanks for the help guys, i want to be able to drive the car next spring, and i dont see much excitiment trying to get moving from 3rd gear lol.

Stay far away from G-force their customer service blows. The T5's for sale in the mags are the ones for fox body cars from what I was told about this time last year when my T5 let loose when I bought my 3550 tremec - well now it's the 500 and 600 tranny's. IMO the T5 isn't worth a rebuild either for the money you would spend on doing that you would be better off spending the xtra cash on a better tranny that will handle more power especially if you do more mods down the road.

im in the same boat as you tranny wise. this is what im doing, i just ordered a 20$ video from mustangs unlimited on a step-by-step rebuild that seems pretty easy. then in mm+ff mag in the back is a rebuild kit for 159. shipped for the rebuild kit. for the price, and how easy it appears after watching the video, ide say you would be stupid not to rebuild it unless your making ungodly power.

Ok, my big question, if i get a Tremec for my 95 cobra, a TKO 3550... what additional parts do i need?

-bellhousing?
-Clutch/flywheel?
-Drive shaft?
-Quadrant?

right now in my car i have the stock bellhousing, driveshaft, and quadrant, and the clutch is a king cobra, and the flywheel was recently resurfaced when i replaced the clutch. Please respond because i need to know before i purchase a tranny and then find out it wont fit. Thanks for the help in advance

If it's popping out of gear, that means the blocker rings are bad. Those are an easy fix.

I'd go with a T5 rebuild...
