Ok, so I have an 06 mustang gt with bbk 62mm throttle body. A guy with an 07 mustang gt wants it. To save from headache of dealing TPS voltage checks and changing the throttle position sensors out can I take his stock throttle body with HIS throttle position sensor attached off his car, then take my throttle body with MY throttle position sensor off my car and just swap them without issues? Shouldn't be any physical differences but is there a computer issue? And I assume I should disconnect the negative battery cable for this transfer correct? Hopefully this isn't confusing.

You will not have a problem. He will have to take a reference voltage before he removes his so he can set your BBK properly so it doesn't set a fault like most of them do.

I am saying that I am wanting to leave the throttle position sensor in and not remove it from either throttle body during the swap. I take his old stock one with his old TPS attached and vice versa.

On this note, will a GT 500 throttle body fit on an 07 GT? any benefit?

Yes with an adapter plate or the right blower.

No benefit from it though unless you're making close to 500+ rwhp.
