Hi everybody, been a while since I have been here. Any way, im sure some of you remember that I blew my engine up, well i ripped it apart and am starting to put it back togeter. What happend is it dropped a valve, it hit the piston shoving the valve into the piston, bent a rod, cracked the cylinder, and destroyed the head. I WAS going to put a 331- 347 kit in, but its just to dang exspensive. So now i am just going to order up a piston, and heads and stick it all back in a new block ( the mexican block i got my hands on is shot, bummer). the problem i am having is i cant seem to find a piston. TRW discontinued the onse i have. I havnt had a chance to call them yet, but that is was summit said. Anyway they are forged domes .440 pistons, part number L2249N .030. They still make them in .060 but that wont work and they also still make them in LW2249N, but that means there light weight and wont work with mine. So any help on getting just one piston would be great. Thanks. O and i forgot to mention, I am getting a set of 185cc non-em AFR heads. Thanks again

Summit doesn't know anything unless it is speeled out for them. There are a few guys there that knows what's going on though. So, TRQ closed up shop a few years ago. I don't remember exactly what happened but someone was supposed to buy all there forms to continue making TRW parts. Buddy tries to get his hands on ONE .060 over 396 pop up pistons when this was happening and he had to buy KB because the wait was going to be too long. I went thru the same thing when I had to replace a piston that was marked .040, but was only.030. Took a little time to find it. I would imagine someone is now making it, or you will have to call whoever ones them now, or make a bunch of phone calls.

Try lw2249nf30 on summit. They are sealed power.

Mine are L2249n So they look identical to the LW2249nf, but the difference is the LW stands for light weight so thoes wont work. Thanks for trying though.
