help with u/d pullies

Im trying to put on my steeda pullies and cant get the alt.nut or the crank bolt out to take off my stock pullies,im using a 350ft/lb impact and nothing! Should i go with a 500/700 ft/lb or maybe a 3/4".This is on an 02'gt any help would be great.

You need to get a puller for the crank pulley, it bolts on to the 3? bolts holding the pulley on. We tried with an impact wrenck and it was a no go, had to get the puller.

For the crank bolt, put a 1/2 inch breaker bar with socket and beat it with a hammer. That's how I got mine off. Sounds dumb but, it breaks it free. The alternator bolt should come off with the impact gun. Make sure the belt is on when you are trying to get the bolts off.

j/ put mine in sunday...the alt nut should come out w/ impact gun..make sure u got the right socket in there...as far as the crank pulley goes...take a crobar and wedge it b/w the crank and the pulley beside it...then take the bolt off and then use a harmonic balancer puller to get it off...u might wanna wd-40 the crank pulley nut..i did

you need a good impact to get off the alternator bolt, I tried using my parents impact and after nearly stripping the bolt they told me they got it for free with the air compressor(i dont know what it was rated at). You can get a loaner puller from autozone.
