help with vortech install

i installed my vortech v1-sc kit this past weekend and im having some issues. First i have a PMAS maf and it is too big to fit under the vortech filter cover that came with the kit. i wouldnt care otherwise but the PCV bypass connects into the cover its self. can i just block my stock PCv and run a breather in the valve cover? Also i am using tall valve covers so the intake elbow will not go on so i just connected the flex tube to the charger n connected the elbow to the other end on my maf. is this ok? any help is greatly appreciated.

This is what I did....

(this should only be used on non emissions legal cars... DO NOT USE THIS SYSTEM IF YOU GO TO THE TRACK!!)

Go to autozone and get...

6 ft of rubber 3/4 inch hose
a new oil filler cap with a breather
small rubber caps, these will be used to cap off the TB nipple that usually has a rubber vacuum hose to the oil filler neck.

NOW....

Junk the vortech box, run a 3/4 inch or so rubber tube from the PCV running down the back of the engine block under the car, this will vent oil vapor to the underside of your car.... Now you have you that PCV taken care of.

Put a rubber cap on the nipple from the oil filler neck that runs to the TB and cap off the TB too.... put on the different oil filler cap with one that has a vent on it.... these are usually the ones that the carb guys use on there valve covers.

place the 3/4 rubber hose on the new oil filler and run the rubber tube down toward the rear of the motor to about where the PCV tube is, down by the tranny.

With this method you will ventilate your crank pressure and, if done with common sense, you will not have any boost/ vacuum leaks.

Make the hole larger on the filter cover and put a breather on the valve cover.

its not the hole thats the issue, its the fact that the maf is so large that there is no room left for the cover. its a PMAS with the 4 bolt filter flange. i wasnt really crazy about the cover anyway so no big deal. Im just gonna use the breathers as mentioned above. now about the inlet tube. it hits my tall valve covers. just wondering if anyone else has had problems with this before. again thanks for the help
