My car seems to really vibrate as I start out and now whenI let out the clutch ang give it gas the wheels don't spin right away. My clutch history?? Can I adjust the cable on my stock 85gt somewhere near the tranny? Could be low fluid? how do I check? and how do I put more tranny fluid in? (standard obviously) How much for installed HD clutch? Could it be rearend??? If you could spare the time to answer anybody please!!! ( who knows what their talking about anyway) Thanks.

If you feel a vibration when releasing the clutch, usually you have some hot-spots on the flywheel and you will need it resurfaced. If you feel the clutch slipping, like you said it doesn't hook right away when you lay in the throttle, you will need to replace the clutch. Re-surface the flywheel whenever you put the new clutch in. The tranny shouldn't be low on fluid unless it is leaking. You can check the level by taking the fill plug out of the passenger side of the tranny and stick a finger in the hole and feel for the level. There is also a drain plug on the same side if you decide to change the fluid, and can refill through the top fill hole (squeeze bottle or pump) or you can pull the shifter off the tranny and refill there. I bet you can change your clutch yourself, you can get alot of help on this site to help you along the way.

I thought maybe the back brakes were sticking but it does not hook up right away for sure. It also seems like the clutch pedal is almost right up before it rolls thats why i thought maybe adjust the cable. Damn I go out and find a 85 gt fork out $340 dollars and two weeks later this????? I still think I got good deal I knew something was going to go quick. It should have a better clutch anyway. Is resurfacing the stock flywheel good enough? how about aluminum??
