Ok i went to buy exhaust today from a shop in murrysville pa, now i wanted mac pro dumps he said he couldnt get a hold of them yet. But their gonna run me 210 or something then he was showing me flowmaster chamber 2 he said their loud and deep i want something like that. He said they will run me 204 but he said that their are these like flowmaster knock offs that are the same thing and their a 100 bucs cheaper. He showed me and they looked the exact same he said they sound the same. Do you guys know what he is talking about i think im going to go get them if their worth it. Are they worth it is anyone running them and should i put the mufflers off my h pipe with turn down tips?

Their is no replica that will equal a flowmaster! You will be replacing them sooner than later.

Are you sure he showed me them and they were the same exact thing...

My flowmaster 40 series mufflers costed me 120 bucks. I'm pretty sure they were only 60 bucks a pop.

I then just took them to the local muffler shop and had them fab up some tail-pipes for 60 bucks. I run dumps but when inspection comes up I throw the tail-pipes on to pass.

i was just gonna put the chamber 2 flows off my h pipe and get some tips that point down. where can i get some chamber 2 flows cheap?

Why brand were they? The MAC flowpath look the same as flowmaster and some say they sound better too. They are a few bucks cheaper than flowermasters.

Summit has 40 series for $60 each.

I would look online $200 for just mufflers is a little steep.

Are you just looking to just dump the exhaust right after the mufflers? If so you can do it yourself fairly easily if you have acess to jackstands or even better a lift.

But becareful at inspection time unless you know a lick and stick kinda place that dosent care.

I got my flowmasters like 4 years ago and only paid $90 each. I bought them from an exhaust shop and, since I bought them there, he installed them "free". I'd check around a few other exhaust shops (if there are any) and ask them what they would charge for the flowmasters you want w/ installation. If not, most exhaust shops would prob only charge 20 bucks or so to weld them up...$50 max, so $120 from summit + $50 installation (high) would still only be $170, which obviously is cheaper than that guy.

The mufflers might look the same on the outside, but it's the way the baffles are inside (which you probably can't see) that dictate the sound.

I have video of my car now i just dont know where to host it i just want somehting mean sounding and loud. If anyone can give me a good site online to order the mac dumps or the flowmaster chamber 2 please caz im trying to buy them. Also if you would like to see the video of my car just let me know i just wanna know if theyll be louder then what my car is now if anyone can host them for me thanks.. Dan

The first link for the summit page the first option the flowmasters 21/2 are them the chamber two and also the 2nd link the mac flowpaths are them the same as the mac pro dump?

The current exhaust sounds pretty docile, the new mufflers will put a grin on your face.

Hey

I want my exhaust to be deep and mean but in high rpms to be loud what exhaust will do this for me mac or the flow chamber 2s?
