Help!!!

So i was doing some work on my car yesterday ('95 Mustang GT) and my buddy finished tightening down the caliper on the passenger side, when he stood up, his elbow hit the Antenna (sp?) and broke it off at the car... is there anyway to get it out? it's still inside the black housing on the fenderwell, but only sticks up, MAYBE as high as a credit card would sitting flat on a table, PLUS, it's rusted.(I'll try and get pics here in a second) I bought the new antenna today, I just gotta figure out how to pull out the old screw!
2nd question, in my '99 to pull out the back seat, all you had to do was pull up on the front portion, and it would pop right out, is it the same for the '95's? I pulled on it a little, and it didn't budge! I just don't want to break it, in case i ever decide to put it in... So could it just be that it's tight because it's never been out, or is there another way to pull the seats out of the older cars?

The 95 seat should pull right out, I think you have to give it some jerks....I may be wrong though, wait till somebody else chimes in....but from when i remember having rear seats, they just pulled right out

can't help you with the antenna problem though....hope you get that sorted out

thanks... i'll jerk it a little, i read on another board to push the clips in, and pull it up. i'll get it, i just wanted to make sure.

Yup, there are two clips you have to push in with a flathead scewdriver or something, and then pull up on it and it should come out. As for the antenna, my sister had the same thing happen on her Mazda, and I just used something sharp and pointy (a scriber) and used the rough surface of the fracture to kind of unscrew the rest out. Its not hard to turn it since there should be no tension on the treads. It'll be a bitch if its rusted in there though.... good luck!

my antenna did the same thing, i ended up taking a tiny drill bit and drilling a couple holes side by side making a line across the top of the broken piece of antenna, then used a small flat head screw driver to spin it out.

Let's keep it on the topic of fixing the car.

There are a couple of white plastic receptacles that hold the seat bottom. Try going vertical with the front of the seat bottom and push rearward a hair if it wont come up. Those things do get brittle though so be careful.

good idea, i would take a hack saw or a dremel and make a slot.....but soak it with penetrant first. worst case get a reverse drill bit and an easy out (small one)
