HELP!!!

I just picked up my 90 lx and have run into this problem. Ok so i jacked my car up to work on the exhaust...before i jacked it up the shifter bezel went on fine...when we lowered the car the bezel wouldnt clip in right...anyone else have this problem??? i jack it up on the fram rail just like i used to in my capri. could it be the crossmember for the trans bent up?? any help would be great guys i really need it!!

im just about to put my AFR 165's with upgraded valve springs, Fms F303 cam, scorpion 1.7's, air gap intake and 3:55's in an now i ran into this problem which i wanna fix before i put this stuff on. Also, anyone know what kinda power an times i should run with the mods below??

Edelbrock 600cfm carb w/ spacer

Is it the leather thats getting in the way or is the back of the tranny actually sitting higher? I guess you would be able to tell if its the tranny by looking at the front u-joint. Your drive shaft should be sitting pretty straight not on a doward rake.
