Having issues with stalling when makin a left turn, in second when turning but clutch fully pressed. Could it be timing or my carb not getting enough fuel.. I'm not car savvy so layman terms are OK. LOL
Thank you...

If you could, give way more details on your car- I'm guessing that it's a mustang ( and looking at your profile pic an SN mustang ) but what year is it,what motor is in it? Is it in fact carbed? What mods? Etc etc etc lol. Post up the info, add a bunch of pics, and you will start getting people to offer up advice and recomendations ..

Its a 95 mustang with a 1985 302. It has an Edelbrock 1406 carburetor with a elelbrock 289 performer intake . It was converted from a V6 to a V8 whic I'd imagine is a process in itself. Had it for 3 years and just started getting this issue.

Could be vacuum leaks, fuel pressure / clogged filter or more likely float level, bad fuel, clogged jets, timing, plug condition, clogged cats if present. Pretty standard stuff for a carb-equipped car. Diagnose with a timing light and a vacuum gauge. You might actually have better success posting this to one of the classic-car forums where folks are more familiar with carbs.

@madmike1157 @Davedacarpainter @Boosted92LX seem like pretty knowledgeable people where carbs are concerned. If they're not busy-they may have some ideas

It's only an inch or two. What's the big deal?

I can tell you I had a used edelbrock carb that came on a pickup I aquired, and the floats loved to stick on that thing. Even worse than a holley that's been through the wringer, which I didn't think was possible. Those edelbrocks are copies of the old carter afb which a lot of guys older and more knowledgeable than me call JUNK.. lol. My experience with them made me want to believe it. Is the car smoking when it stalls, out of the exhaust? Can you smell raw fuel in the tailpipes? If so, that may be it. If not, check the above mentioned symptoms. They are all sound suggestions.

P.S. After rebuilding that eddie carb and still having the needles/floats stick like mad, I bought the cheapest summit brand 600 vacuum secondary 4 barrel they sold, which is a copy of an old holley. It purred like a kitten, and the eddie went in the scrap metal pile.

Thank you so much, I haven't noticed any smoke from the pipe or raw fluid smell but honestly never looked. I'm gonna recreate the situation tomorrow and I'll keep my eyes on it.. thanks for taking the time to talk it means a lot.

You're welcomed - two more things popped into my mind from long ago when I owned a carb'd car with emissions equipment. I don't see an EGR valve, but a sticking one can cause problems. I think I see a PCV valve, definitely make sure that's clean / moves freely. Either one of those can cause stalling issues. Good luck!

I ran an edelbrock 1406 and edelbrock intake for 5 years daily driven with no issues.

Sounds like the baffle may have come loose in your gas tank. I had a similar issue in the past with left turns causing my car to stumble.

Where's the fuel pump in in your car ? If its not in the tank then this isn't a probable solution for you.

The pump is inside the tank, thanks for the message I think I'll just Change the pump itself if I'm dropping the tank anyways. Thank you

sorry but would a fuel cell be a solution if it's a baffle issue?

haha!
Just thinking it'd be a cheaper alternative and avoiding a headache of messing with baffles on the tank..

It would probably be cheaper to get a new tank. Sad thing is....the only way you'll know is to drop the tank and look.
