Watch how much Lucus you add it will lean it out more. What code did it throw?

What was the code?

O2 sensors are wear/maintenance items. It's probably just time to replace one or both. The code should be able to tell you exactly which one it is.

Vote: neither. Vacuum leak.

Spark plugs aren't likely to cause a lean condition.

If you really want to clean the fuel injectors, consider an injector cleaning/flow test service such as injectorrx.com.

Go back and rule out a vacuum or exhaust leak. Your wallet with thank you.

OBTW, always post the full codes.

As Trinty-gt said, the O2 sensors do wear out. Consider replacing if over 100k miles.

I had the lean codes in both banks as well after I installed my cams. When I popped the hood I realized that like a retard, I forgot to hook up the tube from the upper plenum to the air intake. Once I hooked it back up and cleared the codes, it was fine.

Burns is right. It's most likely a vacuum leak somewhere and is likely a "free" fix.

with most fords, a lean bank 1 & 2 code is a vacuum leak, seems like from about 1997 to 2004, ford used some pretty crappy vacuum lines, we replace vacuum lines on ford trucks all the time when lean codes are present.
