Ok, so maybe its just me, but I think a lot of gauges look sweet in a car. I am thinking about getting an oil pressure and air fuel ratio gauge for my a pillar but here is my question, how do these work? Can anyone install an air fuel gauge on any car? Same question for oil pressure, fuel pressure, etc. I guess I dont know enough about them in the first place, so someone please clue me in. What would I need to install an air/fuel and oil pressure gauge, other than just the gauges and a place to mount them. Thanks so much for the help.

I just hooked up the autometer air/fuel ratio gauge a couple of weeks ago.Very easy. All you need is just the gauge, and splice into your pcm wiring harness. :D
Here is a link to autometer tech for the air fuel gauge :nice: .

As for the oil pressure gauge, go with electrical (no mess in your car if a hose line decided to let go), and what you'll you need is the sending unit from autometer aswell.
Hope this helps. :)

Don't forget you'll need a guage pod or a dash bezel for the guages. They're, for the most part, pretty easy to install. I have a electric fuel pressure, mechanical boost and an A/F ratio guage in my car. Pics in my sig..... :)

Also, A/F is mostly a light show, but I got mine used for a really good price.

Okay, so what other gauges would you need a sending unit for? Fuel pressure? Water Temp? Pyrometer? I am retarded when it comes to gauges, so I need some more guidance, any good websites with step by step for a 98 gt? If so please tell, thanks.

The Autometer FP guage comes with the sending unit. It's also one of the more expensive guages to get because of that. The only extra thing you should have to buy would be the NPT connection for the schraeder valve.

MyEarsHurt-Not sure about the other sending units for the other guages, I haven't gotten those yet. I do plan on getting a oil pressure by the end of the year though.....
