A few months ago I posted on just about every mustang board I could find want info on a 351w swap in a 2000 mustang. All the replies I received were all negative saying it can’t be done or it’s to expensive I still can’t understand how random people know more about my financial situation than I do but oh well. Needless to say every reply I got was a lie. The 351w will go in the car with ease. Or at least a 2000 model with a V6. The only place your gonna have a problem is the driver side header hitting the steering shaft. But all in all I pulled the v6 out and put the 351w in the car in less than a day. With that being said I am not a newbie at messing with cars though all the other cars I have restored have been 65-73 models no computer stuff. Before I go further I will state I’m building a street/strip car so all I was looking to keep working were the head/tail lights and turn signals. So as far as if you want a fuel gauge working tach in your guage cluster I’m sure it can be done but I’m not the guy to ask about that. So here’s my set up a 427 stroker with a c4 transmission. What special parts does it take to do the swap 1 it literally took one part that was what I would consider a special part. And that part was the transmission crossmember. So here are all the things you need.
1 lowering 351w motor mounts from LMR for a 95 mustang. Price 55 bucks.
#2 bbk sn95 351w swap headers price 469.00
#3 stifflers crossmember got mine from summit racing. Price 154.00
#4 the biggest aluminum radiator you can find a stock 4.6 radiator would not cool my engine. I bought a radiator with electric fans off eBay.
Price 169.00
So anyone looking to do this swap it’s that simple under 1000 bucks provided you have a motor and trans ready to go.

What about power? Even the breed of 351's with GT40 heads only put out 240hp at the crank. Seems like it would be a backwards swap compared to recent mod motors.

Literally nobody here said it couldn't be done. In fact, in your whopping four posts on this site, one of them was in a thread where I told someone else doing this swap how easily it could be done with junkyard parts.

I wouldn't do a 351W-based swap myself, it's too easy to make power with a similarly cheap platform by going to the boneyard for a 4.6 or 5.4 4v modular (take your pick, both are the same price as a 351W at my local pick-n-pull) and feeding it with boost from any of the decent cheap turbos on the market these days, but to each their own I guess.

I never said that anyone on one specific site said it couldn’t be done. I posted on several sites and all reply’s were negative. I posted this to help people out. As far as power mine is a stroked 351w to a 427 13:5:1 compression are heads solid cam. So I have plenty of power.

Dyno graph?
Time slip?
Pics?
Seems to me you could have gotten more (positive) attention docmenting your progress in a thread, then the 'haters' could bang their keyboard against their heads screaming 'NO,NO,NO!!
Look, most people modifying cars today are not swapping engines, it's too much work, buy a s550, throw on a turbo and run 9's.
Most don't even know what a 351 looks like.
Hell, a lot of the 'haters' probably don't own a car, instead they drive a keyboard on the streets of GTA.
I'm a 'show me' kind a guy.
So instead of implying everybody's lie'n show the proof.
Another thing, most want a car you can drive around town, ps,ac,pw,pdl, pdb, cruise control, most can't even drive a stick in the ground let alone one on the street!
So lets see the pics, time slips and burnout videos!!

Well I noticed the mustang gods opened up about all this knowledge. Fact being I was told it couldn’t be done that was a lie. I was told it would be 5g at the cheapest that was also a lie. I just don’t know another term to call it when people give you untrue information. So I did not imply people were lying I’m telling you facts they were. This post is for people wanting info on the swap. I also find it interesting that months ago when I asked for info on this site not one reply was given. Then I do the swap and post what it takes suddenly everyone is an expert lol. But anyhow I posted this to help people looking to do the swap every thing I posted is a fact it works . I have nothing to prove never made no clams as to how fast I ran or anything else. Just the facts of what people need for the swap.

The statement that it can't be done was likely an opinion. So not a lie.
The statement that it will cost 5k is also an opinion (in my opinion) and also a reasonable low budget estimate, figuring accessories that people today want in a vehicle. Until this post nothing was said about a race car, or a street car without accessories, so the opinions were formed without adequate info. (I'm just referencing this thread and the two other posts you made on stangnet)
Don't get me wrong here, the only thing I am pointing out is your generalizations about the lies.
So let's get to the meat of this, how's the project coming and what are your plans for it?

351w swap 02 mustang gt

Hi I'm new to the mustang world, I'm stationed in Georgia and have an 02 mustang gt. i have an 351w stroked to a 408 that i would like to install, i also have a holley EFI. Is there a parts list that anyone knows of, i think i would have to change the k member but i would like to see if you all...
www.stangnet.com

The how-to was already posted in the very first thread you posted in when you joined the site, BY ME in fact.

Any monkey can throw a windsor-based engine into a 1996-2004 Mustang. It can be done for virtually pocket change using OEM parts sourced from the boneyard, which would be what I said then.

You want to start a thread detailing the build, go ahead. You want to actually share some actual knowledge, by all means. If all you want to do is try stir crap up with BS arguments, go do that somewhere else. This is Stangnet, not Corral or Allfordmustangs, we don't do that here.

See this is the problem. I post useful info and get a bunch of hate and I’m not supposed to say anything about it lol seems kinda one sided to me.

There you go riding the 'bus' again.
Very little 'useful' info here. This is a mustang forum not a debate column.
Get with the program or get back to facepage, there you can debate and argue all you want about whom lied about what

Really hoping to see something interesting like, say, maybe a 2004 stang with a 351 in it?? A few words about what trans used?
Wheels and tires?
Goals for horse power and drag strip times?
A reason to follow this thread?

Well Mr General kartheif I can talk about that. The car in question is not done yet I’m working on the body work/paint right now. As for the trans it’s a c4 tci reverse manual valve body with a 4500 stall. Looking for low to mid 9s in the 1/4
