After I washed my engine with simple green, I had a terrible miss when I drove it home from the car wash. After everything dried out, It ran fine. Now, like a week later I have more hesitation under acceleration, paricularly with a load, Not sure but might also be sucking a lot of fuel. Did I short out an injector or something? Any help would be appreciated.

Use an air compressor and take the time to disconnect every electrical connection and blow them out with an air gun. I had the same problem and one connector had the slightest amount of moisture in it and caused the car to stumple on its face under acceleration. Good Luck!

I'm 100% sure you have caused a short circuit which has , in turn, damaged one or more of your ignition coils. You will need ot have the car diagnised to determine which cylinder(s) are missing. It happened to me a lil over a year ago and i killed two coils by doing the same thing...you must drive the car right after washing to engine to accelerate the water drying time before it has a chance to seep into harmful locations. I'm sure you washed the engine cool and let it sit for a while prior to driving it, which was my mistake.

Your 1st mistake was taking it to a car wash. The wands even on low put out way to much pressure and you probably drove some water into a connector. I do mine about every 3 months. You need to find a friend who owns a house and has a gerden hose. It only takes a fine mist to wet it and rinse it down, let the SG do the work. I also take a leaf blower to get all the puddles out of the engine nooks. I have never had a problem doing this. Peace out
