I have a '98 GT, stock aside from a cat-back. I'm getting this engine hesitation and these popping noises in the exhaust under acceleration, mostly when I'm under about 1500 rpm, any gear. It happens less frequently when I'm accelerating gently, and happens often when I floor it. But when it gets over 1500-1700 rpm or so, the problem goes away. The MIL light doesn't come on at all. Any ideas?

I'm wondering the same thing mine does it at the same rpm's. Its fine all the way through until I hit those same ranges as yours. Hopefully someone has had this problem and fixed it.

You're not throwing codes either, are you?

Might it be the fuel filter?

so you guys think its a fuel pump issue? I have an 03 with only 10k on it and just the basic bolt on's headers,plenum,chip,o/r H I shouldn't be pushing the pump that hard should I?
