Hesitation off idle

I have recently replaced the head gasket on my 95gt, everything seemed to
be fine. After I finished it the car seemed to hesitate off idle, full throttle was
alright. Now it stalls at stop lights, and the idle surges. I noticed that when
I hold the throttle steady at about 2,000 rpm it seems like it's missing. All of
the ignition components are new, including the distributor and the plugs.
I have also retorqued the lower and upper intake, just to make sure there
were no leaks. Any ideas?!
 
I tried pulling codes,but the cars idle is
all over the place and it stalls in the
middle of testing. It's not working to well.
Also when it gets hot it will not start unless I put the pedal to floor. It will start
fine in the morning, but if I drive it for about a half hour it won't start,it will just keep turning over but won't start.
 
TM, do you have mods to the car? Flooring the pedal cuts the injector pulse and clears a flood condition. It sounds like you are rich (a lot of guys with 30# injectors and H/C/I's have to do this for hot starts if they dont have a tune).

I would chk koeo codes first, if no codes pull up, then if you have an adjustable fpr, I would try lowering it first, if it doesn't work, try increasing it to get it to idle a little better so you can do the koer test.
 
I have the following mods; gt40x heads,E-cam,36#inj.,powerdyne 6# blower,roller rocker 1.7, chip tuned on dyno, cobra upper,lower intake,long tubes,complete exhaust. The car ran perfect, except for
a cold start problem that developed out of nowhere. The fix was the stator in the distributor, which I figured out after
checking and changing just about everything related,including the distributor. Not to get side tracked, I reassembled the car,adjusted the valves
according to specs. My car hesitates off idle, and stalls and also at WOT it feels like I've lost about 100 hp.
