My daughter has a 2005 mustang gt 4.6 and it has a bad hesitation issue when taking off and also in 2nd gear. It also looses power at around 4000 rpm. The error code said the cam position sensor was faulty so I replaced it and it still does the same thing. Any suggestions?

Thanks

OK, so you now have codes for:

1. Vapor Canister Purge Valve
2. Evaporative Emission Control System Purge Control Valve Circuit
3. Failure in one of the elements that heat the oxygen sensors, specifically bank 1 sensor 2, which is downstream from the catalytic converter
4. "B" Camshaft Position Actuator Circuit (Bank 2)

Replacing the VCT solenoid on the driver's side might solve all of those problems.

well, replacing the VCT solenoid didn't change anything. Will be installing a Throttle position sensor tomorrow and see if anything gets better.
I hate all this electronic crap. I love my old school 73 Maverick 302. Easy to diagnose any issues.
