Sorry I accidentally posted this on the wrong thread so here we go...New here. Great site and looks like a good group of fellow pony nuts. Does anyone have any experience/pictures of a Kmember/A arm installation? UPR specifically. Problems you ran into? Tips, shortcuts. BIG NO NOs. Websites that could be helpful? I have had it for a while and I'm ready to put her on the jacks for a week or two and get this done. Like to have it in before Christmas when I go see my family. My brothers are dying to see the car. Last time they saw it, it was bone stock. I have a set of MAC Long tubes and prochamber to go in at the same time. Thanks in advance.....

Doing the LTs while the K-member is off will make the install of the LTs a lot easier of course...

No No's???

Are you saying that Kmembers are crap or that UPR's are crap? I admit that I started buying parts before I was well informed....actually the Kmember kit was the very first thing that I purchased. I know see there are other companies that make them that might be a little better but how big can the difference be? I have had this thing for like 3 months now. I plan on doing some custom fabrication around and on the Kmember itself to stiffen the front end up even more than it already is(I would like to do some auto crossing plus it is a convertible). Will this suffice? Crap I was just asking for some tips because UPR sent no instructions and now I'm scared they are a POS. I had not read anything bad about them before. Crap.

Well....at least it looks pretty sitting on my living room floor. I was mainly trying to take some weight off my horses fat A$$ and the K member looked like a geat way to do that. Like I said I planned on fortifying it with some 1" round steel tubing in a few critical places and making a new X brace to replace the factory one. I wanted stiffer and lighter. And I have Steeda's full length sub frames to tie into. Hopefully it will be OK.

So you say that the UPR K-member is no good for street/track events? Why is that? I was told by the 'fine folks' at UPR that this K-member would be great for these things. Was I lied to? I do not doubt you but I do not disbelieve them either seeing as though they gave me good advice and info on other products of theirs. They even talked me out of buying some of their own stuff after hearing my situation and what I was trying to accomplish with my car. I am just curious what is wrong with their piece? It looks good...I mean the quality and the welds. I plan on street and track events way more than drag racing and it is a daily driver at least for now. Please expand on your experiences or knowledge. Thanks again

well i was able to compare a UPR K member to a MM K member next to eachother and there are a ton of differences. generally for strip use, you are more concerned with weight reduction. all you are doing is going straight. for a road racing inspired one, like the MM K member, you have more lateral forces to deal with, read turning.
