Hey Guys back for good too. Need Help Though

Well I swapped my old 3.8 for a 5.0. car runs good and my friend has it now. there were alot of things that pissed me off about the mustang when i had it but i guess thats the fun of having a car always working on it. i was going to cross over and get a honda or something but i had to jump on a deal i couldnt refuse. its a 96 6 banger with a 5 speed. i have to replace the front bumper and fender. now i can finally put in that 4.6 DOHC i always wanted. two questions though?

1. Is the 94-95 and the 96-98 perches the same? I know the mounts are different.

2. Does any one know where to get those fake airbags or cheap real ones? i dont want to pay $1000 for airbags that i wont use (hopefully)

Thank.
Feels good to be behind the wheel of a stang again. Also when i put in my 5.0 i was upset because my mustang was or became a gt so my name was pointless. now i got another 6 banger so HERE WE GO AGAIN.

That cammer is nice stock, and can make a bunch of power with a supercharger, but everything is more expensive and harder to work on than a 5.0.

My advice is fix up your v6 as cheap as possible, then save up your money, and buy a used cobra. That will be much easier than an engine swap, probably cheaper and you get big brakes, better suspension and cobra looks also. When you are done, you will have a cobra, not a v6, so your resale value will be higher.

If you are looking for fun, get one of the factory 5.0 cobra kits.

Sorry, it's just that cobra's are so cheap right now. If you look at the first gen mustangs, how much is a fake GT350 worth? How much is a real GT350 worth?

They are both fun to drive, they both look cool, but one will never be more than a modified mustang, while the other is an icon of the muscle car era.

It's like the 70's when people were trading in their muscle cars for fuel efficient and economical toyota's and honda's. The cobra's are cheap, they are not very beat up, the mileage isn't too bad. In a few years, these oppertunities will be gone.
