:D :D I have your pinging/knocking answer lol :D :D

ok after having a pinging problem under heavy acceleration and or hot engine temp. i finally found the culprit. I had tried everything new coolant temp sensor, new AIT sensor, cooler thermostat, (gt 40 intake haha), and nothing seemed to help even after countless hours with the snap on scantool. These same codes kept coming up showin both banks lean. O2 sensors right? wrong!! ok new o2's no fix. cleaned the mass airflow elements, did help some but no permanent fix. ok it running lean must not be getting enough gas new pump....no fix.

ok heres the answer to the problem and the lowdown. it seems in 94-95 mustangs Ford used a superheating element in the ceramic sensing elements of the mass airflow sensor to burn off any debris. good idea right? not so good seems the heat up so much that they wind up burning theirselves up rendering them useless and malfunctioning

Thought id pass the knowledge onto you guys who have been having the same problem and have tried everything u can think of. haha guess this automotive program im in might come in handy after all.

too bad mine did this with a pro-M 77

once I did a straight shot Homemade CAI and cleaned the AIT with alcohol, it stopped

oh and a manual fan switch that keeps it at 175-180 always! I noticed it started to ping at 195+
