Well first , i have a diablosport for my 1998 gt and was wondering where would it be best to put my timming. 1-4k and 4-7k rpms. I heard retard on the low and advance on the high what do you guys think? I dont have money for a dyno run nor am very aware of how exactly a ping sounds like when messing around with a timing. Its automatic for one, and have cold air intake, full straight exhaust, msd coils, underdrive pulleys always run on 91 octaine and 3:73's. Second Question I still cant find out why my car has problems on cold starts and by click the switch two or more times the car turns on perfectly and notice that the idle is kind of bouncy. Only by 100 or 200 rpms? I think it has to do something with my fuel and no its not enriched or anything like that even though i know exactly were to put it after the dyno run (6% rich) i took it off thinking that was the problem but i guess not? HELP!!!!!!!

advance on both rpm levels. lean it out a little. if the engine feels like it has rocks in it, make adjustments from there.

i'd have a professional do it. you have no way of knowing what you are doing especially since you say you cant tell if it is detonating or not.

Ya I wouldnt be fooling around with something like this when you dont know what you are doing. Its cheaper to get it tuned by a pro than replacing an engine.
