Hey guys, I registered here a while ago when I got my first mustang. But after I found the car was rotted to all hell, I sold it and havent gotten back into one until now. 1990 GT

Bought it on thursday. for a grand. Crank no start. Got it running today. There was a broken wire going to the ECM relay which meant the ecm would not poer on at all, hence my no fuel/spark problem. Repaired the break, put some gas in and it fired right up. Ran pretty well seeing how I havent timed it properly yet. Thats for tommorow.

It does have a clutch issue though, wont disengage... only when the motor is running though. Works fine when the cars off. Throw out bearing is whining, and you can hear a faint scraping noise when the clutch pedal is down. so a clutch kit will be ordered soon.

I did manage to take her down the road however, when its in gear it drives beautiful. cant wait till its timed tommorow.

It does need work as you wouldexpect a thousand dollar fox body would, but overall im pleased. Rust is minimal, engine runs strong and trans feels good when you can actually get it in gear.

I should be pretty common around here now. Quick thanks to everyone on the site that has contributed to the many useful threads. They definatly helped me out today.

Probably gonna go with lx tails, saleen wing, cobra rear, cobra grill, 2 inch cowl. chrome saleen rims. But thats far far from now. Got to get it running good first.

:SNSign: Congrats on the new project. Hope fully u will put up some progress pics. i am going to do the same to my lx that needs alot of work but oh well its bonding time with my car. well anyways good luck and dont get frustrated with it and sell it. that is all i have.:SNSign:

PS: I was drunk when I posted about the chips. :D

sidesteps arent the only thing sagging, check out the exhaust. The previous owner decided it would be much easier to run straight pipes under the axle than go through the trouble of bending the pipe up and over.

Looks like a nice project. One thing I would do is take the 5.0 emblem off the trunk. I hate when people do that. It belongs on the fender only, not the trunk or the hood. Good luck with the car.

yea thats coming off. Gonna go with a fiberglass hatch anyway... damn you rusted hatches.
