HID headlight kits??

I definately like the look they give, not to mention they are bright so it's better at night. Any posts that I've found on other sites say that the people love them but they never had them for more then a few months or so. I've searched on here for info, with no success. I want to know if the kits are any good/worth the price? Also, I've seen O-Nex kits that are about $100 cheaper then kits on American Muscle. Does anyone have experience with O-Nex kits or the AM kits?

let me very honest with you....

Most the HID Kist you see on Ebay are all the Same. Companies buy a Huge amount of HID Parts and slap there company sticker on them.

He's 100% right, buy from an ebay seller, but make sure you get the one with the best feedback. I bought a set almost a year and a half ago for $74 on ebay. I bought headlights and fogs and they have worked perfectly ever since. Yes they are a little bright, but hey i can see so much better. Best mod I've ever had. Trust me when i say the ebay units are worth the money. I wouldnt buy from anyone charging more than $100 for a set.

i just bought a kit with the slim digital ballast. it was the easiest one i have installed yet. shipping was quick as well. of the 3 different sets i have had on my 3 mustangs i like this one the best

Those kits are good, but if it were me I'd buy from DDMtuning.com. They offer a free lifetime warranty, and last I checked their kits were ~$75.

I've had VVME for a long time now and I think they are sweet. I was tinting my headlights yesterday, so I sat the HID's on the radiator support sitting straight up. Worked on the headlights for a while and decided to put the hood down while I went upstairs. Bang. Broke the tip off of the driverside bulb, but the wire was still intact. Guess what? Still works. Stuck it back in my new tinted housing and fired them up. No problems. So if you don't mind having a sharp cutoff line and if you like seeing signs really well from a long ways away or far off to either the right or the left of you, then these cheap HID's are for you.

I picked up the 4500k kit from VVME - so it looks like plain white light instead of that blue/purple tint. The kit works great, install was simple(hid the ballasts inside of the front bumper cover behind foglights so they get airflow), and I now have more light output with my headlights totally blacked out than I did with stock halogens on non-blacked out headlights. Took about 3 days for them to arrive from China to Florida.

i have HID's on 3 of my vehicles. my stang has a stangmods kit. my other 2 vehicles have $70 ebay kits. both the ebay kits have problems only firing one headlight. you have to switch the lights on and off to get both to fire. the stangmods kit has never given me a problem at all.

there is a difference in kits. not the cheap ones within $20 of each other but in the ones with a $100 price difference.
