If you hang on till later this year, you can get some official Ford HIDs.

I plan on doing the switch when they are available.

I also am interested in the interior ambient lighting, but the HID's would be really cool. Plus they would look good.

You can just buy the Saleen ones, I think that they are like 800.00 or so, but they fit perfect, come with the correct harness, and are made specifically for these cars. And they have a warranty

I will be getting those for my car soon.

Do HID's in general give better lighting? I don't want to spend all that money just for it to look cool...thats better spent on body kits!

Have you ever driven a car with a real HID setup? They are F-ing amazing!

We also have a Honda S2000 and that car has HID, and if I drive that car at night and then get into the Pony, I feel like I can't see at all. They truely light up the road more, give a more real color, and once you start driving a car with them, you will never want to go back. I can't really describe it to you, you really have to see it. If you live in a town that has an auto mall, see if your Ford dealer has a Saleen that you can test drive at night. Or hell, even go to Honda and test drive one of their cars with HID.

They are a far more superior product than the stupid halogen lights that all American Manufacturers put on the cars.

The headlights on the S2000's are legit Xenon HID headlights

Saleen's are not true Xenon HID, they are just different, brighter bulbs

I don't think this is true. From what I have read, the Saleens are true HID's. My only problem with waiting for the '08 parts to retrofit is I have read they will be like $900 a side. That's BS.
I like the look of the BiXenon kit from Stangmods. Lifetime warranty. High & low beams. $349.

I've ordered 2 sets of the McCulloch 6000K for my GT and my wifes Truck....best and easiest kit to install so far...and I've done 4 others previous from other makers. I'm going to do 12000K's for my driving lights.

i'm running HID's on my 07' and they are bright as hell, i light the freeway signs for about 1/4 ahead of me and the inside of the car in front of me, if their window is not tinted! the beam is so wide because of our headlight is so round not like the projector lamps(sharper beam).

the kit i got u have to run it from the battery with the fuse holder and another relay to get the right power to the bulb. a stereo shop installed them for me $75.00 parts/labor, i had to purchase the fuse holder/relay from the stereo shop.

check on ebay...i got mine for $240/pair..good luck!

How much? Do you have highs & lows? Where did you get the kits?

Unless they have a set that is with projector headlights, I'm not getting HIDs. I've always hated it when the ******* with HID's would blind the hell out of me so I'm not gonna be the guy to blind others.

I opted for the single beams.....they do sell a high/low kit, but it uses a movable mirror to shift the beam for highs. I bought my mains from Xenon King but the new set of 12000K I ordered from United Xenon, they are identical kits but United has better prices.....$259. And this kit requires NO additional wiring, it's plug and play right from the existing light wiring.
