Anyone have hid's that had a problem installing them? All they do is flicker and go off. Sometimes they will come on, which tells me they work?
Please Help...

Sounds like you got a loose wire going from the ballast to the bulb.

Is it only one light that flashes and goes out or both?

And you only have one light that has the HID bulb?

There might be an electrical issue because without two ballasts their is a different draw from each bulb too.

Either a bad wiring connection or a fault in the ballast (like a bad solder joint, for instance...)

Have you tried lightly tapping the ballast when the HID is on to see if vibration has something to do with it?

try what he said. I had the same problem with one I had on my bike. had to swap out the ballast.

I also had a problem (seperate issue) with one where it would light up fine, and then go out while riding. I secured the ballast so it wasn't jiggling around and that solved that issue.

one thing I've realized about hid's is they are very fragile. and it seems as though for what you pay for them, the ballasts should be made much more durable.

even so I am still thinking about getting another set for my car.
