HIDs installed (pics)

Uh oh its the Texas bashers!!!!!!!!!!! :rlaugh:

Why dont you guys wait until he shows us his cutoff lines against a wall...I have seen conversions on these cars that had near perfect cutoff lines. Im also willing to be that his converion lights work better than your stock ones......If they dont, we will see what san~man comes up with and Saleen can do that if it turns out better. Its not going to hurt anything really.

Now, what about those "retrofit" jobs in which the beam cutoff still appears sharp? Don't be fooled; it's an error to judge a beam pattern solely by its cutoff. In many lamps, especially the projector types, the cutoff will remain the same regardless of what light source is behind it. Halogen bulb, HID capsule, cigarette lighter, firefly, hold it up to the sun—whatever. That's because of the way a projector lamp works. The cutoff is simply the projected image of a piece of metal running side-to-side behind the lens. Where the optics come in is in distributing the light under the cutoff. And, as with all other automotive lamps (and, in fact, all optical instruments), the optics are calculated based not just on where the light source is within the lamp (focal length) but also the specific photometric characteristics of the light source...which parts of it are brighter, which parts of it are darker, where the boundaries of the light source are, whether the boundaries are sharp or fuzzy, the shape of the light source, and so forth.

from that article i posted.

i went to my buddys house last night and we traded cars to drive around. i got his KB GT and he was on mine. i adjusted the lights a little lower and when i would meet him on the road i could still see fine. it didnt blind me at all. he agreed with me taht the lighting is 100% better and i could tell a HUGE differance driving his car with the stock lights. the lights do project a much wider beam than the stockers. give me a few min and i'll get a pic of the cut off line.

I like it :nice:
I think I'll buy a set for my cobras headlights and foglamps

Thats one thing that i don't like about mustangs is the lighting, from the factory it just plain sucks. I have Sylvania silverstars in cobra and the stock lighting on my Tundra with normal bulbs blows it away.

Looks good saleen!
These guys keeps trying to compare them to purpose built HID housings in other vehicles....but what they arent seeing is just what I said earlier....RETROFIT HIDS ARE STILL BETTER THAN STOCK!!!! (If properly done)
