I am thinking of getting a CAI and tune, but I am concerned the tune will not work up here in Denver Colorado. Is my concern valid? Does anyone have experience with tunes working, or not working in Denver? Anyone know of a custom dyno tuner in Denver?

ah, denver... I WISH i was only at a mile high. i am currently at 7200 ft. i have a canned tune for my CAI, and have had zero issues since i moved here late last year. you still lose some power due to the altitude, but is runs fine. drive to a lower elevation, and it feels like a rocket.

just get some 4.30s, and you will even out the elevation difference. i did!

Might be worth mentioning to the people you're getting your tune from. If you hear any pinging under throttle with it they should be able to modify your tune to compensate. I'd imagine they'd just pull a degree or two of timing.

I'm over the mountains in Salt Lake, and while we're not as high as you are I found that my Vortech with a 9psi pulley is only making a little over 6psi. Bummer, huh? Altitude kills.

cool, thanks for the info. I just noticed on the Bamachips site that there is a question about the highest octane available in my area, so that would where the info on altitude probably comes into play. Still, I would be more comfortable with a local tuner.
